RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS AND INDIVIDUAL PERCEPTION ABOUT COVID-19 VACCINES

Background: The cases of Covid-19 disease continue to rise in Kendari city, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. In 2020, the task force reported there were about 3,736 people who got diseases Province.To reduce cases, Indonesian government have prepared some covid-19 vaccines. However, majority community this Province are still hesitant accept Therefore, study aimed understand relationship between demographic factors and individual perception vaccines surrounding Province. Methods: This was conducted since January 2020 until October recruited 210 respondents with 95% interval confidence. Dependent variables which comprised age, sex, educational status, mariage status occupation. Independent variable Data collection used Google form sent through WhattsApp social media. Statistical analysis chi-square test Cramer’s significant association. Results: showed Sex had association (P value=0.041<0.05; value=0.174). occupation not associated significantly Female better than male Conclusions: shows that female more information is caused by several media get including organizations village such as women organization, islamic organization groups.
